Subscription Graveyard Chrome Extension ยท Last updated: March 2026
Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data Subscription Graveyard accesses, how it is used, and what we never do with it.
Subscription Graveyard requests read-only access to your Gmail account via Google OAuth. This access is used solely to search your inbox for subscription-related receipt emails (e.g. charges from Netflix, Spotify, Adobe, etc.).
All email scanning happens locally in your browser. We search for known subscription receipt patterns and display the results directly in the extension popup. Your email content is never transmitted to our servers, stored in any database, or shared with third parties.
The extension stores the following data locally on your device using Chrome's local storage API:
โ Your license key (to verify Premium status)
โ A list of detected subscription names and their last receipt dates
This data exists only on your device and is never uploaded anywhere.
When you activate a license key, the extension sends the key to subscriptiongraveyard.com/api/verify-key to confirm it is valid. No personal information, email address, or Gmail data is included in this request.
โ We never read, store, or transmit your personal emails
โ We never sell your data to any third party
โ We never use your data for advertising
โ We never access any Gmail data beyond subscription receipt patterns
We request the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly scope. This is the most restricted Gmail scope available โ it allows reading emails but not sending, deleting, or modifying anything.
You can remove all locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the Subscription Graveyard extension from Chrome. You can also revoke Gmail access at any time via your Google Account permissions page.
